What I’ve been up to…
We just finished a lovely Hogmanay dinner, deep dish beef pie, carrots with butter, and (Colombian ?) Arepas! Bit of a mixup, but no potatoes to be had in the house. 🙂

So… I’m trying to behave…. as I am three weeks post-shoulder surgery and have been denied my computer, but wanted to catch up and wish you happy holidays and a wonderful New Year! Arm in sling for next 4-5 weeks and not meant to be using it. Bit of a challenge but I want it to repair properly!
I’d unfortunately wrecked it properly, requiring a subacromial decompression and small acromioplasty, open rotator cuff repair, and biceps tenodesis. When I viewed the videos online… I finally understood why I’m not meant to be using it. Trying to get tendons to fuse to bones is no simple matter, as tendons have minimal blood supply. This is great for strength of tendons, but horrible for healing… but my great surgeon and team have been wonderful. I’m trying to behave.
Been using the glorious weather to get the veggie gardens planted (with help!) and up to speed, and we will eat this year.
Rosie Rocket has been the recipient of TWO certificates for her Brain Games classes with the wonderful Bex Tasker of Positively Together Highly recommend Bex for all your dog (and cow, sheep, pig, whatever) training, and great for us too! Will post pics when WordPress lets me!
However, we’ve had THREE purebred Dexter heifers out of three cows calved this month, all healthy, and we’re over the moon!

Writing News:
Book 2 and 3 in the Odin series have already been written, but surgical delays and hospitalisation before that have put me behind. I will get them loaded up this week, and then Book 4 in January.
